The Victorian home style appeared at a time when residential architecture wanted to deviate from the conformity of the industrial era. These house designs offer an asymmetry of lines and, consequently, the apparition of new forms, conjuring a desire for liberty and details. Embellishments such as decorative ornamentation around windows, on roof edges and the gallery, not to mention a corner turret as well as the addition of lively colors, are distinctive elements of Victorian houses.
