Circuit breaker

A circuit breaker is an electromechanical device designed to open a current-carrying circuit, under overload or short circuit conditions, without injury to the device; serves the same purpose as a fuse, i.e. to prevent overheating in a circuit through overloeading. Unlkie a fuse, a circuit breaker can be reset, rather than replaced.
